I can watch CNC machines for hours!
Is that a special router bit (not an end mill) for carbon fiber? looked more like a drill bit.
Also noticed you milling pockets, can you just do inside contours (saves cutting)?

I only do pocket on 2 place.
The motor mount and the ZipTie slot. They are machined to leave half the material. 5mm tick 2.5mm pocket.
All other cut are inside contours like you mention.
But the bit is 1/8 so it’s big for small contours… lol

No real special coating on that one.
Tool don’t have a big life… lol but 1/8 is new to me.
One tool 1/16 is use for each 12x24 sheet i cut…
The spindle is a Bosch router with precision collet kit on it

Yeah, I hear ya on the short life of router (end mill) bits.
I really like the router mount on the Bosch. I’ve got the Bosch Colt with the precision collet kit for my little home-maid 12" x 12" PCB router. I need to get back to it and finish it. Your machine is inspiring!

I like the layout. Is Arducopter or your nav software allow for the the angles of the legs?
That could be a good layout for a terrestrial 'bot! I was toying with a design like that.

That’s a great little test. i was worried about the strength as the design looks really cool. good to see it will perform well as well as look great.
