Both of my LR3C0 unable to connect to Whisker App. I believe it is due to their network update. However, I reached out to Litter Robot Customer support, they ask me to purchase the Litter Robot 3 Connect Upgrade Kit ($100 each) to replace my old WiFi Kit. I think this is inacceptable. Any other way I can try to get the issues resolved? Thanks!

Couple of questions:

  • what is the error message when you try to connect these robots?
  • at which point it stopped working?
  • are the robots still in warranty?
  • if yes, where did you buy these? RobotShop or directly from Litter Robot?

It is connected to the app and online/ready.

LR3CI152829 has been successfully upgraded to 1.0.2:B

I already have 1 litter robot 3 that works fine. I just added another one, and it will not connect to the app. I get all the way to it connecting to my wifi, then it just connects endlessly and goes nowhere. ideas?

Welcome to RobotShop community.

We are sorry to hear that you are having trouble with one of your Litter-Robots.

Here is the advice from manufacturer:

At the end of the onboarding process, if the app just says “Finishing up” for longer than 1 minute. please do the following:

*** Leave the app**
*** Select WiFi settings (It will be connected to Litter-Robot still)**
*** Choose their home network **
*** Open the app back up**

This will instantly connect them.

It’s possible that the robot needs a software update so we will check with the manufacturer if that’s the case.

Please keep your robot turned on during that time.

Here’s the manufacturer’s reply:

it is difficult to check as the robot has been deleted? Therefore I don’t have any good insight. If the serial number is correct, this is very old LR3C. If customer was attempting to change routers, it may not be compatible with a modern router.
