Hi Guys,
I am building a 2WD wheeled robot that can pull a bottle of water of about 1L, for about 50cm or 1m. The surface is pretty frictionless, and the robot wheels will run on an aluminum rail.
I don’t know which motor size and wheel to order from robotshop that would be able to push or pull such weight.
Do you have any recommendations?
It would be so great, just not to order something and return.
Thanks for your support.
Hi @FrankLG and welcome to the RobotShop forum,
By “pull a bottle” do you mean dragging it? If that’s the case, then a 2WD robot might not be the best option as that type of robot doesn’t have much stability. Also, if the surface doesn’t have much friction you might want to consider using tracks.

To estimate the motor size your robot will need you can use this tool:
Regarding the wheels, this might help:
Good luck with your project!
