Which Unitree robot dogs are programmable and which are not?

Programmability depends on the model and version. EDU variants of the Go2, G1 and R1 include a secondary computer specifically for user programming, so they can run custom ROS/ROS 2 nodes or other software and are intended as development platforms. Standard (non‑EDU) versions of humanoids such as the G1 and R1 are primarily demonstration models and are not meant for custom development. Industrial quadruped platforms like the A2 and B2 are designed for integration by default and expose APIs and ROS interfaces for controlling the robot and adding sensors or payloads.
