The only sensor I could find in the store to measure water turbidity is this one:
However, it doesn’t offer much resolution or accuracy so you may want a more specialized sensor or tester.
If you don’t need high accuracy you could use this sensor (you can find more information about it here) and connect it to a microcontroller, that way you can send a signal to a motor controller so the engine closes the door when there is a high level of turbidity in the water.
