Will need some kind of mixing between channels i think
Hi,
Am I right in saying that it uses a proportion of the lift across its control surfaces (like mini wings) to counter the rotation of the main prop instead of the more usual set-up having 2 contra-rotating props to stop it spinning?
Thanks Eric i though i missed something.
Regarding the counter rotations , this will be done by trimming the rudders to help with efficiency. Failing that i cam always get a contra rotating prop.
A 120deg CCPM mixing should be the easiest way.
Since the Transmitter does it already.
I am trying to find a 90deg CCPM mixing… without succes right now.
There is certainly a way to “Hack” the Multiwii soft to do that.
Since in a Quad configuration the system control 4 independent ESC.
I know that the Multiwii soft have a version for “Variable Pitch” quad.
In that version you have only one motor output and 4 servo output to control the pitch of prop
Hi. The laser6 i have only allows for channel mixing on CH2/4CH for v-tail aircraft OR CH1/CH2 for Elevon. I need to mix the channels so i can perform movements as shown in the pictures i posted . What would you recommend ? Designing a board for it or. ? I don’t know much about the multiwii systems or much about electronics. That’d my weak point. Thanks.
ok i have found a transmitter that will allow for CCPM.
futaba 7c 2.4 GHz!

too expensive for me my friend.
Turnigy 9X 9Ch.
also the hardware will be x4 HK401 Heading Hold AVCS Gyro and x4 Hs-225BB servos
im looking at sensors so autopilot systems could be embedded but this would require an embedded board. something else to think about.
If you go with a flight board… no need for the 4x HK401.
But you will need to tune the MultiWii software.
And the Multiwii take care of the Mixing … also.
if i go with the MultiWii system then ill be bugging you for info, so look out.
LOL…
I think that if you go with MultiWii, you should involve some “Brain” of programming.
There is some in my mind but don’t want to force anyone.
It’s an open source Arduino…
Once you have all sensors hook to a controller… you can do virtualy what you want…
Spektrum DX6i does CCPM…
It would be harder at first, but i think you should go with a flight controller.
Something that can take sensors input and make correction about that.
That’s only what i think…
Yes!!! You are correct sir.
Anyway 4 gyro will go for about 45$
If you invent a bit more you will have a board complete (BotBoarduino + sensors or DiaLFonZo-Copter)
How about your Spektrum DX5e 5ch Radio?
And do they have PPM signal available inside?
Alan KM6VV
Multiwii controller can take PPM input.
That leave more I/O to be use as you want…
