Servo without Arduino

Good Morning,

I am a novice at animations and Robotics… However I wish to build a dancing prop for my business.
I need my dancers to move continuously, I do not need Arduino and its programming.

I need 18 servos. I have selected Deluxe Hitec HS485HB but please suggest some of your servos with strong torques.

I need all my servos to move from 0 to 180 back and forth like a ‘wind shield wiper’ without an arduino just I am unable to program them.
I am thinking of using servo tester at automatic mode to operate my servos, unless you can PLEASE suggest something else.

While achieving ‘Wind Shield Wiper’ movement I would also like to adjust the speed of my servos. If I can control speed of each individual servo would be great but if not just one knob to adjust the speed for all servos at same time will suffice.

I will very very highly appreciate your help

Thank you,
Harry.

Hello @HareshUdhwani and welcome to the RobotShop community,

If you need to program the servos without a microcontroller I suggest looking for digital servos, that way you could use something like this:

I know that there’s a digital version of the servo you mentioned, the HS-5485HB, but it looks like it was discontinued. Since you mentioned you want your servos to move from 0 to 180, you might be interested in this video:

However, if you don’t need to program the servo but simply control it manually you could use something like this:

I hope that information can help you out!
