PicoServo Controller?

Hi,

Does anyone know of any other servo controllers that work with this kind of simplicity?

Hello @RoboSeeker and welcome to the community,

Here are some options I found on the RC Servo Motor Controllers

Thanks, Geraldine. Maybe the PicoServo is a rarity in that it’s simple and on-board programmable? I wanted to ask here because it was hard for me to believe that a Halloween Prop company (nothing against such companies, just seemed like it didn’t make sense) would be the only place on earth with such a programmable controller. I learn something new every day

It makes sense that it is sold by Halloween prop companies because customers in that market usually look for something simple and easy to use while on the other hand robot builders look for controllers with more features that allow them to program more intricate projects. But you’re right in that the PicoServo is definitely a very useful device!

However, If you’re going to be using Hitec servos maybe you could be interested in these:

Thanks Geraldine! I read the user manual for the one that had a user manual available, and for both I can’t find information on loop functions or the amount of time a programming track can be recorded for. I know with the PicoServo controller it allows a bit over 2 minutes of recording time for each track slot, and it has two banks so all 4 tracks can technically have two different assignments. Downside appears that the Pico doesn’t allow for a wireless battery, but I could be wrong.

I just updated the HFP-30 product description to include the manual. I gave it a quick look and couldn’t fond much information about the things you mentioned. However, I noticed that there’s a couple of youtube videos on the HFP-30 and maybe those could help you out.

You may also try contacting the manufacturer directly so they can provide more information about the products
