Quadrino Nano Many Issues

Hi!

I require your help regarding a problem I’m encountering.

Problem 1. Usb connection does not work with proper drivers set up in Windows 10 and device manager showing proper connection. Nano not found by FCT or Multiwii.

Lipo power allows connection to FCT and Multiwii.

Problem 2. All motors work after calibration individually and end points are set correctly. When esc connected to Nano, D3 motor does not spin up and all other motors instantly hit full throttle at 40% thr stick (no expo) and D3 esc is very hot. Nano appears to arm properly. D3 motor calibrates and functions properly when not connected to Nano.

Hardware
Full Lynxmotion H500 kit with Quadrino Nano. Taranis x9d+ with x8r reciever. 11.1v 3300mah lipo all bought from Robotshop except Tx and Rx. Used supplied usb cable and tried two other cables as well.
Software
FCT and Multiwii GUI software.
Troubleshooting
All connections checked and rechecked for proper wiring repeatedly. Esc calibration done repeatedly.

Many videos watched, tutorials, and message board posts read to identify issue with no luck. I wish this FC worked properly, I thought it would be fun to set up but it has been very frustrating. Maybe a diode is bad in Nano and preventing usb connect but this does not explain why D3 motor does not work when connected to Nano.

Thank you so much in advance for your help!

Hi clockworkbox,

The first this would be to get the USB connection as you do not have the ESC’s calibrated with the FC at that point.
Make sure you use the “Download for Windows 7/8/8.1 (v6.7.6)” drivers which are not the earliest. The new one seems to create issues.

You will have to un-install the drivers and make sure to delete the old one when prompted.

Then, you will be able to do the calibration of the ESC’s as described HERE.

All the best,

Did not work.
I uninstalled driver, deleted all previous driver file downloads, and installed version 6.7.6. Com port is correct and PC Device Manager recognizes Silicon Labs CP210x to UART Bridge. Device driver confirmed version 6.7.6.
WinGUI error:
Error device not responding: please check if you have selected right com port (I have)

FCT:
Plug the Quadrino Nano into USB and select the com port (it finds the right port but does not connect)

Can I return a part that came as part of a kit? Can I exchange for Pixhawk?

This topic was transferred to internal RobotShop Support.

Hi,

We’ve sent this to our support center as you wanted to exchange the Quadrino Nano.
