Lol… We know they’re not making money… they made this site because they love what they do… that’s even worse than doing it for money in my books. And I know you’re young and all, but don’t they teach how to capitalize, puncuate, and spell correctly?

The thing is there already IS a forum section for electronics, if only people looked opened their eyes and took a look around the site before jumping straight in.
Every other forum or community website Ive used has had strict rules about posting that newbies who didnt follow quickly ended up being banned from.

I don’t see any benefict in creating another website. It will create confusion to the ones that will come in the future.

Ezekiel181 is perfectly right. Look at InfoCom, makers of the once popular interactive novel/game called “Zork”. They had a newsletter to send to their customers called “The New Zork Times”. Some newspaper in New York dropped a ton of legal on them and forced them to change the name.
So don’t be suprised to see some here that are against the idea and some that are down right hostile to the idea of ‘Look-Alike’ site especially if they are the admins and work so hard on this site to make it the wonderful place of exchanging ideas that it already is.

I personally believe the two are so inter-related you cannot expect to have one without the other. The seperation would only cause problems when looking for details.

and keep it under the same domain?
Thats the same as having two

PS: I think it’s so cool and funny that every now and then someone want to make break-out-sites. Hope someone does do it one day, would be cool. Though I believe it would not work, it’s just like… there can be only one. My opinion anyway. But we ) are about to add features!
