Actually, I dont really mind when non-robots are posted as robots. If its an cool project, like mr tea , its fine. I agree it would be better to post it as a blog or the forum if its just a component that you’re building or as a walkthrough, if its a finished robot-part.
What I do mind is the type of robot page that is basically a single line of text: “I’m thinking of buying a picaxe and building a robot” but as with most mis-posts in this site; it’s always quickly corrected.
Almost all electronics thingies are potentially of interest to robot builders so they should have a place here on this site and they do. So no need for a second website.
(I don’t like burrito’s anyway)

I’m sorry to tell all you guys the truth, but you are a bunch of downers (at least some of you.) Conrad’s asking a simple question, and then joe comes and blows up the party like he usually does. And then everyone follows along… Its one thing you say “NAH, we dont really need another link” but its another to come in here like your ass is on fire and start pissing on the parade.

Its better to keep it all in one place, you could section it or make it have a seperate feel but it really is more benaficial to have it as one site, the ammount of knowledge being shared here is amazing and everyone benafits from it. If you split it in two then that will mean its more fragmented. Plus its good for seo to have al lthe traffic in one place.

Expectations
Well I’m sorry if it makes some of us downers, but its not like someone said: "hey I made a cool electronics site. maybe you guys would like to see it."
It feels more like: “Hey guys. We want to move half your topics to another website. BTW i already have it online with almost the exact same name”. First reaction= WTF!
Than comes this post: "Ok lets vote about it. Let me know your thoughts"
Now I personally don’t even mind the initiative. If LME grows into a handy source of information. good. But frankly I think the reactions from LMR on this topic are pretty mild.
