Malatorys Spider -=[Long over do work started]

you have to remimber that I will have a computer on board. So controlling its going to be easy.

If I can get a cell phone to get hte camera out of. I will use what it is seeing to display on the screen. if not just some stats of whats going on. and a pic of my little one

No need to buy a cellphone for just the camera. Buy just a camera: sparkfun.com/commerce/produc … cts_id=637 It is a nice little camera from the Samsung E700. SparkFun had a contest on who gets this puppy working the fastest. There is a REALLY long topic in the sparkfun forums on this camera.

Ahh, right. I almost forgot your going to have a mini-itx in your robot. How did you run that test? Was it an application you downloaded that had test patterns? Or did you write your own code for it? I am interested in one of these LCDs for a project.

You know of any good sites that have a nice specs list for this LCD/carrier and what it can do. Plus any code examples?

Keep up the good work.

Thanks,
robodude666

Oh man!.. MOM!.. I WANT ONE TOOOOOO.

Very nice!

It’s a cheap camera but it is very complicated to figure out how to do it. The information is in there, but if you have a question about something, it would be hard to get answers. Sure one could do it, personally I would stay clear of it.

Perhaps a small color spy cam would be a better option. It’s plug and play. But if you feel confident hacking the small cam from spark fun, then I say go for it. I know nothing about AVRs which is what is used I believe.

well I got the kit from www.jule.se The code I used to test was writen from jasper the owner but release via GPL through metku.net , I will be mirroring it soon.

I would like to see if I could get that camera to work but I am wanting one that been done before. still would be intrested in looking into.

one of the camera I looked at and dug into deeply was the CVS camcorder, I never did build a couple of the test bed I wanted to for reading the memory chips.

New movement with the Lynxmotion body.

looks good

better light too

Looks great, but im sure your going to go into the code and clean things up a bit to make it run faster ect…

still looks good though//

Yes my code will be cleaned up to speed things up. Plus I am going to go through and make sure I have things configured right in the ssc-32 program.

I have build the Wiport device and have not tested it. Waiting on getting my TTL cable made up. Body has not changed since I posted the last pictures as I been to busy to work on that part :frowning:

I have ordered 50’ of servo cable wires (In case I get the wild hair to replace of the twisted cables). Plus 20 end plugs as well.

I also have a couple of books on robots coming. Should give me something to read at work :open_mouth: since things are starting to slow down.

Very nice work, Malatory! I am just starting an 8 Legged Freak of my own. Mine will be built on an octagonal chassis with an added wheeled drive for level terrain.

looks nice!! I want to build a spider of my own when I have enought peices and servos

thinkgs guys …

I have not had the time to work on this project in the last couple of weeks as I have been slacking off a bit and I am trying to get some ideas worked out and I realized I over spent some money last month so I am having to filter my project money back into the main budget for a couple of weeks.

Same with me. I was not expecting a $800 electric bill. :open_mouth:

Wow, what did you do? Try to power a laser gun?

Funny thing though, I have like $180 and dont know what to buy with it . Thinking of getting electronic components (resistors, ICs .etc) to build 2 boards and also buy some SES to upgrade my BRAT.

Its all about the money!! 8)

SN96: 800.oo Electric bill … #$@( mines never been over 350.oo

Dude666: If that money is burning a hole in your pocket you can get me my last par legs .

My electric bill never been over $0.00 because I don’t pay it  Thanks for the offer, but I think il keep it. I got some plans for it.

Well Never hurts to ask :stuck_out_tongue:

Yeah, $800 buckeroos.

We keep our house at 70deg. at night because of the rain forest like humidity here in Texas.

We have two little girls that like to open and close that thar back door like a paddle pump.

They leave their TV on all night as if it was some kind of night light. I plan to put a timer on their outlet that will cut power at 8:00pm every night.

Kids…

Better yet, put a timer on the breaker itself so they can’t get to it.
:stuck_out_tongue:
Get them some wind-up alarm clocks and tell them to either deal with it or start paying up.
