Lynxmotion - Hunter VTail 400 & 500

My guess and it is only a guess is that he is asking for a complete list of things to order, in order to have a flying system.
Example if you were to order:
lynxmotion.com/p-903-hunter- … oller.aspx

Which battery and charger should I order. I am assuming: lynxmotion.com/p-987-111v-3s … -pack.aspx
Which Lop charger: Don’t see one up yet here or on Robotshop… Maybe something like: trossenrobotics.com/imax-b6- … arger.aspx
Note: I currently have two of these…

Lipo tester? Something like: trossenrobotics.com/p/1-8S-l … nitor.aspx

Also need 5 channel (or more) remote control (programming ESCs is needed) - Which one is recommended? Do any have/provide feedback from multiwii?

Who knows maybe someday I will have to try one of these out!

Yes, I will list more online.
But we do have Lynxmotion LiPo comming and chargers.

Getting everything from many manufacturer is not easy.
Also having reliable sources…

Once everything is online we will include them in the kit pages.

For Multiwii, you need anything with 5 channel. But you need to be able to raise the end point to around 120%.
Unfortunately that put aside the lower price TX… :frowning:

hi KurtEck’s?? ^^
Trossen Members hwan we
Nice to meet you

You’re right

Yep KurtEck on Trossen

The screws are M2x6 countersunk. We do not have them in stock but the motor manufacturer will send spares in our next order with them.
So we will be able to help in the future…

Here is a list of things you might need to complete the kit.

There are 2 combo available.
Only difference is that one came with the Flip MultiWii compatible flight controller and the other don’t.

lynxmotion.com/p-897-hunter- … o-kit.aspx
lynxmotion.com/p-903-hunter- … oller.aspx

To complete the kit, you need a battery, charger and RC Remote.

The RC Remote we recommend is not yet listed on the Lynxmotion website.

We highly recommend the use of a LiPo safe bag for storage and charging of LiPo batteries.

Some kind of LiPo voltage monitor and/or alarm is a very usefull tool too.

I hope this help, if you have further questions just ask…

Hi All,

Someone contacted me this week and said he will do a test with a DJI NAZA.
I didn’t think of that but… it support the Y6 configuration and for people who didn’t know the first VTail where fly on a Y4 setup.

Not the perfectly optimal setup but it does work (The Y4 i mean)

So… If we only connect the needed motor it might work in theory…
He just sent me a video of his try and will give me more info tomorrow.

Anyone want to try… lol

Hey… Where are you people…

Ok… Got his setup.

Well these last 2 weeks have been crazy with a project we are doing for Intel, so I have been slack’n. I have my motors and everything hooked up to the VTail, I have the Quadrino on it right now so that will be what I start with but I have the MultiWii Pro and I picked up the Naza M V2 when it was on sale - I am up for trying it out. This weekend weather is supposed to warm up and I am almost done on my project for tomorrow.

Cool, yes i know what it is.
Always hard to find the spare time to play with the toys…

Any estimate on when the full UAV kits will be available (currently listed as Pre-order only)?

Also, new to all this so going to need the electronics instructions. Will those be up on the site soon?

Thanks

Hi smorin2011,

Yes we are working on manuals for the VTail’s.
They are close to being done, but there is a lot to cover.

We are only waiting for two custom cables to arrive to be able to do the complete kits.
I am trying to get more information about the ETA…

So I broke down the Vtail 500, going to give it a go with the DJI Naza V2 - if this guy works it will be nice to add on all the DJI goodies. Out of the box I have the V2 with the GPS - I will be able to have GPS hold and return to home. Hoping tomorrow I will have it all together for some test flights while we are having this mini-heat wave here

Broke…?
lol

Okay - I meant took it apart and took off some of the multiwii board to put the Naza on

Getting so close!

:smiling_imp:

TONIGHT WE DINE IN H@#! - Okay maybe I just try to fly the HunterVTail in the garage. So this guy is now setup NazaStyle!!! I got the DJI Naza V2 hooked up - Setup with the YHexconfig, skipping out on a couple front motors that don’t exist. Hooked up calibrated the Controller, made sure channel reverse is setup, found I had to lower my travel to around 85%ish on top and bottom, so the mode switch is working. Took it out and did the compass calibration, made sure the motors spun correct – well at least as I was following the layout suggested in a post Eric passed along from someone trying it - Hey who sent Eric that info?? - Anyway Eric posted it out and I am taking up the challenge, let’s see what happens tonight!!!

Will Denver win, will this guy fly right - we shall see.

In the meantime, check out some of my pics

Very cool…!
The guy don’t have a name… LOL
He contacted me over the support Center and don’t have an account here.

BTW, the DJI gps post fit perfectly the rear arm screws.

Fly ATTI at first, didn’t try the gps myself…

Eric - I am not trying GPS hold tonight, won’t work in the garage anyway. Hopefully it flies nice, I have my buddies Shelby GT500 in the far garage bay,

I just mounted the GPS up on the top mount plate, I think that should work - GPS signal seemed to link up nicely when I was calibrating the compass. If it’s a problem I will setup the post.
