Litter robot not rotating correctly

Hi!

I require your help regarding a problem I’m encountering.

Description:

My litter robot starts to rotate okay, but soon I can see that it is rotating a little too high on the track. Then it stops and rotates a little the other way. Then the lights come on with yellow and then red flashing.

Hardware concerned:
Litter robot open air III

Software concerned:

Troubleshooting steps already taken:

I have cleaned it, reset it, taken it apart multiple times.

Additional information:

It’s the same problem as in this post Litter robot III yellow to red flashing lights

But I could not read the answer and the original poster solved it by “splitting the pin in the jack” which i did not understand.

Thank you so much in advance for your help!

I had a similar problem. Initially it was “separating” the pin inside the slot that you put the power plug into, that restored the unit to functioning. I used a thin steak knife.
That worked for a month.
Ultimately I replaced the motor. Price is reasonable and easy to install (I’m a gramma).

is there any support technician who can help me?

Hi,

When the yellow and red LEDs are blinking it means, it detected something that obstructs or jam the motors.

Please try the following and let me know how it goes:

1- Turn the unit off and remove the bonnet and the globe.
2- Check for gear/motor obstruction and clean or remove anything that may be blocking it.
3- Reassemble the unit and verify proper litter levels.
4- Power on, if the problem persists, let me know.

Sincerely,

I have the same problem…yellow and red light flashing. But the globe stopped in a 90 degrees position. If I remove the bonnet and globe…check and clear any obstructions…do I put the globe back in this 90 degree position or in the home position, before turning it back on?
