Litter robot ii with 3 flashing lights

A few weeks ago, our type 2 litter robot stopped working and all 3 lights started flashing. I suspected the control panel and ordered one and when it arrived, replace the old one. Unfortunately that did not work and the lights kept on flashing. After replacing the power supply, as well as replacing the control panel again and the sensitivity switch, I still have the 3 flashing lights! Can anybody help me out with this problem? One thing I noticed, is that if I apply some weight to the step like a cat is getting into the box, a single yellow light lights up when turning it on instead of all 3 lights. But after a while, guess what! Back to the 3 flashing lights. What should I do? Is it time for me to send it into the technicians, or am I missing something simple?

Hi John,

Sorry to hear that you are still having issues with your Litter-Robot. We see by your ticket that you have also replaced the motor. Is this the case? If so, the only thing left to verify would be the Litter-Robot Harness.

The Litter-Robot usually flashes either if the cat sensor is triggered many times or has issues or when the Litter-Robot is unable to find the home position. It is therefore possible that the Litter-Robot is unable to find the home position because of an issue with the hall effect sensor in the harness. But, we cannot be certain without verifying the product.

In this case, it would be recommended that you have the Litter-Robot repaired. You may also return any parts purchased from us for a refund or exchange for a gift card depending on when the parts were purchased. Simply reply to the same ticket and ask for an RMA number.
