Litter robot 3 not sensing cats

Hello @Deathonator,

Thank you for your reply.

The slowly blinking yellow light issue is usually related to the contact pins.

Please bend the bonnet’s tabs outwards by 90 degrees as shown in the picture below to help fixate the bonnet into the base more:

Also, make sure that the connectors of the pins are connected correctly (black and purple wires aren’t reversed)

You can confirm that from these two videos:

Awaiting your reply.

Sincerely,

I did these things you said.
Also cleaned the pins again.

Issue still persists.

Also the rubber is comming loose.
Are you sending a new rubber globe for the inside of the litter robot?

Hello @Deathonator,

Thank you for your reply.

We are still waiting for the pictures of the pins that we have sent to you earlier.

We need to confirm their status in case they needed to be replaced along with the PVC liner or not.

Awaiting your reply.

Sincerely,

Hi Ebram,

I have been busy this month so I could not reply earlier.
I am very very very frustrated at the moment, because I have done all I could find on the robotshop website helppage, but I cannot solve the problem.
The issue has even begotten worse. Now I have a very rapidly flashing yellow light, just like on this topic Litter Robot III Flashing Yellow Light Rapidly

I have cleaned the robot like 5 times. I have cleaned and tidied up EVERYTHING in the robot.
Every pinch, metal, board, and shafts i have cleaned.
I have taken pictures of everything.

IT DOES NOT HELP.

The robot does not spin anymore for like a month orso now.
I am very frustrated, because I have put alot of time into it now.

I can give you a list of what I have done, but it’s easier to say what I havent done to be honest…
see the pictures.
The rubber globe has come lose aswell, but you already knew that.

This should be issue of 4x per second yellow flash but it’s not.

Hello @Deathonator,

Thank you for your reply.

According to the pictures, we can see that the plastic brackets of the DFI sensor are dirty so please wash these and then dry them well before installing the back.

As for the pins, the base contact pins are a bit damaged so it’s best to replace them.

Finally, regarding the main issue of the fast blinking yellow light, does this light change to a slowly blinking blue light if you press the “Reset” button?

If not, does the robot get stuck in the middle of the cycle or over-rotate and start to make cracking noises?

Awaiting your reply.

Sincerely,

Hi Ebram,

The plastic brackets are clean now.
The issue still persists.
How can I replace those pins?
According to the fast yellow light, yes it does change into a slowly flashing blue light after reset.
The robot does not cycle anymore at all.

Hello @Deathonator,

Thank you for your reply.

In this case, the DFI sensor will also need to be replaced.

We will send you these parts for free under the warranty.

We will forward you now to our replacement department to carry on with the process.

You will be contacted shortly via email with further details about the shipping.

Have a lovely day, stay safe.

Sincerely,
