Litter Robot 3 blue light blinking or yellow blinking rapidly

Hi!

I require your help regarding a problem I’m encountering.

The litter robot is no longer operational.
When powering on, the blue light flashing, upon reset, yellow light flashes quickly.
We don’t know what else to do to troubleshoot.
We have cleaned the windows from the DFI-Sensors, without any results.

Please help us and our 6 cats ;(

Hi @Robert_K and welcome to our forum!

We are sorry to hear about your problem with the robot.

If the yellow light is blinking twice per second:
The Anti-Pinch safety feature is two pins connected to the motherboard that must touch each other continuously.
If they are separated, you will have an alarm(yellow blinking light). The Anti-Pinch safety is located in the top back left of the Litter-Robot base. You will need to unplug the unit, remove the bonnet, the globe and the drawer.

It is ‘‘Two Metal’’ pin. With a flashlight, you should be able to see if they are touching each other or not. If they are not touching each other, try to re-position it with a flat screwdriver by pushing them upwards.

This video can help you locate the pins: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FJkQTXxkXXA

Please check it and tell us the result.

Hey @Robert_K !

Have you done all steps from this troubleshooting: Litter-Robot III Open Air - Blue Blinking Light

If yes, and it doesn’t solve the issue, then DFI sensor should be replaced.

Sorry, i have tried all these steps without any results. It doesn’t changed anything ;(
Still blinking blue light or fast yellow blinking if i press reset.

In this case we can send you new sensor (when it is back on stock).

You can replace it using this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zD3dsJsVVsc

Are you able to do this?

Hi @Ukkiwiwino!

Thank you for your reply.

It seems that your robot is out of warranty.

In this case, we recommend you to buy and replace DFI sensor and anti-pinch pins.

You can buy these here:

These videos can help you replace these parts:

Feel free to ask anything else.

I am experiencing the same issue with blinking yellow light. You say you can see the pinch sensor with a flashlight, but I don’t even know what I’m looking for. Do I have to completely disassemble the machine to determine if they are or are not touching? I’ve watched the videos and do not know what to do.

Hi @darharas and welcome to our forum.

We are sorry to hear about the problem.

Is yellow light blinking slowly (once per second) or quickly (twice per second)?

What happens when you press RESET button?

Also, it seems that you bought your robot directly from Litter-Robot and not from RobotShop right?

Thank you.
