I was working on my Spy 2 project (reassembling the body) and I thought it would be real great if you could custom cut the lexan peieces to the specifications that the client asks. I know it would probably be more expensive, but it would save a lot of time and frustration for a person who dosnet have a machine shop in their backyard. Hey you try cutting lexan in a straight line with a jigsaw!!
Yup, sucks for you jp. If enough people ask, im sure they might bring back the service. I wouldn’t mind having it back myself! Maybe custom aluminum sheet cuts too
If jim says it’s ok I can cut your parts in between jobs at work. The only thing is that sometimes it would be quick turn aroung, other times it would be a bit slow.
sounds good, maybe Jim can give his opinion on this when hes online tomorrow. Im just saying though, it would be really convienient and all to have such a service, even if I would have to pay extra.
We used to do custom laser cutting in the Summer months when business would slow down a bit. I had time to deal with trying to get the submitted cad file into a format the laser could use. However we have had phenominal sales growth the last four years. Nowadays our “slower” time of the year far surpasses our old bussiest times of the year. If that makes any sense! LOL
I have absolutely no problem with you doing custom laser work for members of the forum. It’s what the forum is all about. Peeps helping peeps. Thanks for asking anyhow.
Jim is in the millions now! Good job I always believed in Lynx ^^’’
If you think of it this way! If you do offer custom lexan (and/or aluminum) services then your lowest now will be even higher than the highest then which means you will have more to invest into research for other products. R&D is expensive. I calculated some estimates for something I am thinking of and its expensive!
Well, cheers Best of luck to Lyxmotion! Hope the lowest in the future will be 10^10x larger than the highest now.
Thanks Jim, didn’t want to jump without giving you the first shot. Now I’ll post in the trading post section for custom cutting. so were not bombarting customer feed back. Thanks again Jim.
I’d be interested too. I put my new 4WD3 together last Friday and finally got around to soldering the motor leads and caps. It’s a great looking bot so far but I plan to add a lot of stuff on top and although I got the extra plate on top, I want a few more levels eventually that would be different shapes than that. Keep up the good work guys!
P.S. can’t wait to see the tracked vehicle. I click on the product link every morning
