AL5D finding xyz position

I currently have an AL5D arm with the SSC-32 controller. I want to use that, and (if necessary) use an arduino uno to have the arm move to an x,y,z position. I was looking at this forum: post-p119738 but this along with the codes was for botboarduino without the SSC-32. Can anyone please help? I eventually want to get the arm to pick up an object placed at a given position. Thanks in advance!
