Awesome tutorial …
Awesome website …
Great work but i want also video of this so suggest me.
@Vijay The issue with a video is that it would need to show specific products which might change, making the video obsolete very quickly. We nevertheless appreciat ethe suggestion.
Holy cow this is a great resource! Thanks for putting this together. Always fun to build your own drone to really learn the different aspects of it.
plz any one help him to make solar drone its my project [e-mail removed by moderator]
@zeeshan Ahmad If you need help for every part of the design and construction as well as part selection, you’re best off just buying a kit to get experience.
Hi !! I want to lift pay load of around 1 kg and keep hovering at altitude of say 1 mtr from ground. No maneuvering / movement required. what specification of battery and motor will be required?
Payload = 1 kg
Time req = 30 mins
max altitude = 1 mtr
@santosh Please see lesson 3 under “Thrust” and “Battery”: https://www.robotshop.com/blog/en/make-uav-lesson-3-propulsion-14785
Hi…i need a help …can you make a list of things which s required to make drone…its my first time Im making drone…and I have to buy the things online …so kindly i request you to give a list of pictures of this…thanks
@Bimal singh, For that type of requests, it’s best to open a RobotShop forum topic. There we can go back and forth with your requirements and suggest parts.
First off let me start by saying your tutorials are great. I am a newbee to all the UAV-stuff. My son (7) and me are planning a summer project of building a drone that can water our lawn (yeah we are lazy). Now I have been reading about UAV and all the parts. It could become very expensive even before you know it. What would you suggest, on how we should go about doing this? Our initial project is to build the drone, get it to fly and water the lawn, future enhancements would be mapping the lawn and making sure it drone stays with that map (grid). Any advice would be great.
Thanks
Sav
@sav The first, most fundamental step is to get a drone in the air. Don’t focus on autonomous flight yet. Payload will be a factor. We see this inquiry is very similar to a post you did before, so our response would be the same.
you did not told how to program the flight controller? how to input data and check the correctness of the program.
@ashish This series of articles is not based on specific products, or a specific flight controller. You will need to select a flight controller and read more about how it works and how it is programmed.
thanks lot sir .sir plz suggesting me where gets the part of drone in india and suggest the how use of solar energy
@akshay Chandanshive Parts for a drone can be purchased from RobotShop.com We do not have any particular advice as to how to use solar energy to power a multi-rotor drone, except for charging the battery.
Sir I can’t understand the beeping. .concept of the motor…what will I understand by beeping of motor
@Deeptenshu Roy You need to read the user guide associated with the flight controller to know what the beeps represent.
Im new at this drone making stuff but i have some previous experience in robotics.
currently perusing engineering
so my question was that what should be an ideal weight for a drone with cam to attain sufficient height and are there any apps which can simulate the drone before flight.
@Tushar It’s less a question of weight than about thrust to weight ratio and battery power. We suggest drones which are
