Nice stuff, but probably expensive!
I like (as I’ve probably said before) tool plates, with a grid of threaded holes.

Will cost me 150$
But that’s my price.
Extrusion are 15$ each and need 5
Nice stuff!
do you intend to clamp a piece of sacrificial stock (wood) on the table?
Alan KM6VV
Yes for sure…
Probably MDF sheet drill with many hole to accomodate sheets
MDF will certainly work. Last week I found a “construction” box of thin wood pieces 4" wide or so that my kids had many years ago. I don’t think they ever built anything (at least I don’t remember) but it sure is handy now! I’ve also used scraps of paneling left over when I paneled a new room added to my last house.
Machine shops use aluminum plate for machining metal, but that stuff is expensive! I have a well-equipped scrap box as well.
I really like stepped angle blocks for clamping material down.
I assume you know about T-nuts?
Alan KM6VV
Yes ordered some t-nuts to fit my t-slot table.
But don’t have anything to bolt right now.
Got your slotted bet sections I see!
But that’s not where they go, and no you can’t play with them in the living room!
I want to see them on the router!
Alan KM6VV
Yes me too…!
LOL
Guy will probably pick them monday… more waiting
Still not have the CNC back…
But got a picture of some parts that have been done today.

Nice parts!
Anti-blacklash nuts, bearings (boxes), and blocks for the ways/leadscrews.
Alan KM6VV
Yes…
Update is not going at the speed it was supposed to.
But at the price i pay… i can’t complain
Got some more pictures…
I will have it Friday if everything go right…

He’s doing a nice job for you!
But I think I’ve seen enough parts for TWO CNCs!
Alan KM6VV
Is that a joke ?
(I don’t catch Jokes all the time)
Well… My humble attempt at one!
Because of your updates, you have posted a lot of different parts!
'Hope I haven’t offended.
Alan KM6VV
No No…
I am not offended… …!
Just want to make sure i understand.
The update use a lot of new parts.
The two side of the gantry, the 80/20 between the two gantry sides, New aluminum tabletop, all new parts for the Y axis bearing and Z axis bearings and Z axis plates…
So… almost all new… lol
Have you looked into speed control for the Colt?
Being able to turn the spindle on/off from Gcode is really useful. Even better is being able to control the spindle speed.
Alan KM6VV
I didn’t dig into my CNC controller but it’s a Xylotex and there is a 120vac plug on the back…
Maybe it’s already made for that.
For speed variation i need a Drive or something i guess.
The colt have a speed knob
