Building An Infrared Proximity Detector | RobotShop Community

A short article on how to build a simple infrared proximity detector.
Adapted from the
Stamps In Class robotics
curriculum.
After setting up
your robot’s motors and letting it run, one of the first things
you’ll realize, is that most likely it will run straight into a wall.

This is amazing man i love it.
but is this circuit tested ? i has done similar one that performs proximity sensing but the output of the receiver was a square wave and the micro will read a rapidly changing 0’s and 1’s . what to do to output a clear 0 and 1.
also is it necessary to take 10 readings and response according to their percentage:
for x = 1 to 10
RIRdetect = RIRdetect + in0

Thanx with my BeSt ReGaRdS>> Mustafa from Sudan

sir, it is really amazing me. can you provide PCB / component layout of this circuit ?

Unfortunately this post is quite old and we do not have a layout to provide.
