Hi!
I a new to drone operation/control and I would like your help regarding a problem I’m encountering.
I have a Radiolink T8FB transmitter that I am trying to use to control my Radiolink F110 drone. I follow the binding instructions but the transmitter/receiver do not connect. The purple or red light is remains on indicating that the bind was a success but nothing happens when I try to control throltte.
I’ve tried it with both S-BUS and PPM signals, nothing. I have the throttle set to reverse (or not), still nothing. I’ve even had the transmitter off and the receiver light stays on indicating binding is successful…
Is there something that I am missing? Interference?
My kit came with a R8EF receiver and connecting it to my transmitter is a success…
Any help would be appreciated! Thank you in advance!
Hi jplouffe,
Have you tried to “arm” the drone or you just throttle up ?
See the user manual on P.10 regarding this.
All the best,radiolink-f110-user-manual.pdf (2.1 MB)
Hi dialfonzo,
Yes I’ve tried to arm (both mode 1 and mode 2) but nothing happens. The green light on the F110 is only on and blinking upon power on for 2 seconds then is always off. The green light on the remote is always on, never turns off unless I am calibrating it and then it flashes.
I initially thought it was my drone so I tried it with a 2nd F110 and neither of them respond…
Thanks for helping!
The light of the Drone or the light of the R8EF ?
Do you have a R/C type servo that you could plug to the receiver to test it ?
Hi again!
The drone has a R8FM receiver on it. The lights info I said above was for this receiver on the drone.
The transmitter with the separate R8EF receiver functions fine.
I do not have a R/C type servo to test the R8FM receiver but it’s the second R8FM/drone I’ve tried so I doubt that it doesn’t work…
Thanks.
The receiver need to be in PPM output mode not S-Bus and the LED should be Red
From RadioLink website:
Two signal working mode:
Blue/purple LED, S-BUS signal , 8 channels totally.
Red LED, PPM signal, 8 channels totally.
S-BUS and PPM signal change:
Quick press the ID SET switch twice within 1 second, the signal is changed from S-BUS to PPM. The red LED indicates the PPM and blue/purple indicates S-BUS.
How to match code with transmitter:
-
Put the transmitter and the receiver close to each other within 1 meters.
-
Turn on the transmitter, then power on the R8FM.
-
There is a black button on the R8FM, press the binding button twice in two seconds and release, receiver light start blinking, after about blinking 8 times, match code success then receiver signal LED always on!
If that’s not working i don’t know, maybe contact RadioLink about it ?
