I am thrilled about the pre-launch of our latest innovation, the Lynxmotion SES-PRO Modular Robot System. This marks a significant milestone in Lynxmotion’s journey, which began as pioneers in modular robotics back in 1995.

Lynxmotion has consistently been at the forefront of creating cutting-edge, user-friendly robotics. Our new SES-PRO system, featuring advanced professional smart servos, is a testament to our unwavering commitment to pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in the realm of robotics. Designed to cater to a wide range of needs, from hobbyist projects to professional applications, these servos offer high-end performance at an affordable cost. But we’re not stopping here. As we prepare for the upcoming release of our professional robot manipulators series, we’re already working on additional accessories, including a unique robotic gripper and various platform construction options.

As we celebrate this important milestone, I want to take a moment to appreciate the journey we’ve been on. Exciting update!

We have the first batch of pre-production PRO servos ready to undergo intensive testing. Combine this with hardware like aluminum clamps, carbon fiber tubes, bases and more, and these will be used to complete testing of assemblies like the 5DoF and 6DoF robot arms in both lengths, get final specs for accuracy, repeatability and payload. Individual servos will also undergo stress tests for torque etc. We are continuing to finalize things like the power supply for the arms, modular gripper and software interfaces.

So what makes this PRO series different than other products? It’s largely for developers and those looking for a level of customization beyond what’s available on the market. Change the length of the arm, change the configuration, use two side by side to create a torso and more.

ROS 2 and Python examples (being completed) will help get you going ASAP and interface with the servos and/or arms. Examples using Arduino will be provided so advanced users can replace the default firmware with their own and make use of internal electronics. Unlike frameless and BLDC-driven actuators, these use reliable stepper motors where the integrated stepper motor controller handles everything.
