3 Axis Joysticks!

Hi Kåre,

Yes the red buttons are normally closed and the black ones are normally open. I put in what I had. :frowning: I gotta get some of them ordered. Just wish I could find something that looks better.

At our local Radioshack, they actually carry both NC and NO buttons. My first ones were the nO… Can obviously handle either one in the code.

Kurt

Cool! Seeing it really turns a smile on my face!

I had some long days at work since our customer wanted his website updated before Christmas. I published the update yesterday so the pressure is off. That’s why I wasn’t online earlier.

I really like the radio Jim! The buttons will work fine for me. The buttons add a lot of functionality in combination with the display. If you don’t feel happy with adding the buttons on the LM remotes you should also check the displays with buttons at Cristalfontz. They are a bit more expensive but have some cool looking menu buttons.

I’ve checked some dutch websites for the mega but they are all closed until Januari. So I’m ok if you hold it till then. I hope to take a big leap on TA tomorrow. I’ll keep you updated!

Thanks!!

Hi Xan,

The Seeeduino Mega board that the shields fit, can be ordered directly from the company that makes them in China: seeedstudio.com/depot/seeedu … th=132_133

Earlier I purchased 2 of them direct. Not sure if they still ship the extra headers for them or not, the US company that designed and ships them, no longer ships them with the extra headers. They did ship them to me when I noted that their picture still showed them and the Amazon.com website I ordered it from still said they came with them…

Keeping my fingers crossed on TA…

Kurt

Hi Kurt,

Can you tell me what shipping option you choose for your order from seeed? They are located in China right?

Thanks! Xan

It has been a long time since I ordered from Seeed Studio… Looking at their website, I think I took the cheapest option, which was something like registered air parcel… It took a couple of weeks. Yes it was from China.

Kurt

Yes, 10 till 30 days. That’s why I asked. Thanks!

I have ordered most of my seeed stuff from NKCElectronics (store.nkcelectronics.com/) There is in USA, so quite a bit quicker and shipping charges for me are not as bad if you don’t want to go by slow boat… Not sure of their shipping charges to other countries…

Kurt

Forgot to mention, in USA you can order them from Amazon.com (Fulfilled by NKCElectronics). So I get these 2nd day at no shipping charge…

Also a warning: NKCElectronics no longer ships the extra connectors with these… So they only have the connectors of a standard Arduino. I called them on this and they did ship me the connectors as they were still shown on their website with them and the Amazon.com page mentioned them… This was awhile ago.

Thanks for the tip Kurt.

I will look in to that
