The Neato Botvac Connected was already Wi-Fi enabled and could be controlled via a smartphone App for iOS and Android but, Neato Robotics recently announced a new update that gives users control right from Apple and Android smartwatches. Your smartwatch can now start and stop the robot vacuum and monitor its progress with just a glance or a tap on the wrist. You can also receive instant notifications concerning your robots cleaning job and be alerted of any issues.
“Smartwatches are letting people do many things right from their wrist – like check in for a flight, get directions, answer the phone, play music,” said Avril Murphy, Neato’s VP Sales and Marketing, EMEA. “Why not cleaning? We’re happy to be the first to add this new task to the list.”.
With this update, the Neato Botvac Connected becomes the first robot vacuum capable of being controlled by an Apple Watch or Android Wear device. The already very smart robot vacuum just got even smarter.
