Chapter 5: How To Replace Roomba 500 Series Side Brush Module

This repair guide explains how to replace the side brush module on a 500 series Roomba. 5.1.2          The side brush module is in the top left corner when the robot is on its back.

5.1.3          Loosen the two screws holding the side brush module in place.

5.1.4          Grip the side brush module around the shaft on its left side.

5.1.5          Lift up to remove the side brush module from the Roomba.

5.2          How to Install the New Side Brush Module 5.2.1          Place the new brush motor in its place and push down to slide it into position.

5.2.2          To screw the new side brush module into place, push down on the module to compress the two springs underneath. Then, using your other hand, tighten the two screws in place, shown by the arrows.

5.2.3          You have now successfully installed the new side brush module.
