The first International Conference on Applied Robotics for the Power Industry (CARPI 2010) is about to take place in Montreal. Starting on October 5th, this three-day conference will bring together experts from two different communities: robotics developers,  and power industry end-users.

The main goal of CARPI is to promote robotic innovation in the power production and distribution industry.  This year's focus is the development of transmission line and power systems maintenance robots. The event will be hosted by Hydro Quebec and will take place in down-town Montreal. It is expected to bring together approximately 250 R&D decision makers and robotics developers. Let's hope we can see some LineScout siblings in the near future.
