Yellow light flashing - Cannot resolve

Hello @klister33433,

Thank you for your reply.

Very well, we can help you troubleshoot the robots and tell you which parts you need to replace and how to replace them.

Please provide us with a description of each robot’s issue and number them so we don’t get lost.

Ex: LR#1, LR#2 etc…

You can also send us videos of the issues if it’ll be more obvious this way.

Awaiting your reply.

Sincerely,

Hi Ebram,

This is a video of one of my two newest LR III Open Air… I bought 2 of these from Litter Robot during Black Friday a year ago…

Any suggestions?

Cheers,
Karen

By the way… I have multiple LR IIIs doing this same thing… currently only 1 of my older LRIIIs is working (sometimes)…

Hello @klister33433,

Thank you for your reply.

This issue indicates a problem with the DFI sensor and the Anti-Pinch pins.

We need to try to clean them first.

These are videos of parts replacement but you can use them to help you locate these parts and clean them properly:

You can clean the DFI sensor (green circuit boards + plastic brackets) using a Q-Tip without any water.

As for the pins, you can clean them with sandpaper and WD-40.

Let us know how it goes.

Sincerely,

Hi Ebram,

Hmmm… well… I have previously not only cleaned, but also replaced these components on some of my other units and it did not help. Still, when I have time I’ll take a look, although I believe they are clean.

Cheers,
Karen

Hello @klister33433,

Thank you for your reply.

Sometimes cleaning them fix the issue so we will wait for your confirmation after you try.

Sincerely,

Well… not sure what I would clean here… seems pretty clean. See pic. See video after attempting a clean and putting it back together. Nothing has changed. This just reminded me what a pain it is to try to troubleshoot these units. I wish I’d learned my lesson before buying 7 of them and spending thousands of dollars… sigh…

Hello @klister33433,

Thank you for your reply.

In this case, the DFI sensor is defective and needs to be replaced.

This video will show you how to replace it, please check it and let us know if you are able to do that at home or if you prefer to send us the robot:

Awaiting your reply.

Sincerely,

Hi Ebram,

I’ve actually done this a number of times over the years. Best case scenario was that it gave me working LR for a couple of months. i don’t think I ever got more than 2 months from the replacement of these components and in at least one instance, it did not help at all.

Thanks for trying.
Cheers,
Karen
