Hi guys,
I’ve been playing with an SSC-32, a Wiport, some microcontrollers and some servos for a couple of years now. I am having a tonne of fun with it all. I now want to take a stab at XBEE’s. I have a couple of questions and then hopefully I will be off to the races again and will make yet another project a success.

The Xbee needs 3.3v for its internal computer, and it has a separate href for the ADC’s. Can the href be 5v? I have 5v encoders I wish to be reading and I need the full 5v signal. I haven’t been able to find a href max value int he documentation.

If I understand how they work right, I can have a paired set of Xbees. One would be connected to a set of encoders through the ADC and would not have a microcontroller. The other would be connected to a microcontroller via serial. Can I then have the microcontroller query the ADC on the remote Xbee and get a 10-bit value back?
I pretty much want to remotely query the 5v encoders so that my microcontroller can then execute its program.
Any input would be great.
Cheers,
