XBee Bluetooth documentation for 4WD Mecanum wheel robot

The manual for the 4WD Mecanum Wheel robot refers to the XBee capability on the IO expansion shield as being Bluetooth compatible. The information available on the internet is all specific to particular shields. Can the manufacturer provide any configuration information about how to configure this capability? There is nothing helpful in the user manual. What radios are compatible? Are there jumpers that need to be changed to use XBee Bluetooth? Is there a #include library that I need? Any information would be appreciated. Thank you!

Gary

The shield has a footprint onto which you can mount a wireless device such as:
robotshop.com/en/dfrobot-bluetooth-bee.html
robotshop.com/en/hc-05-bluetooth-bee.html
… and many others.

The module uses up the Tx and Rx lines, preventing you from uploading new code to the microcontroller. The easiest way to upload new code is to remove the module.
There is no specific handheld radio which has a receiver in XBee format. Are you looking to control the platform using a handheld remote control?
