Here is a robot I built for R/C sumo based on the teminator chassis. It has a pnumatic lift under the blade. The pics also show our custom controller. 8)

Urathane tires… I’ll bet it’s done very well.
No the tires arn’t urethane, that’s way too expensive. ($40 is a lot for wheels) They are the stock tires with a silicone coating.
It has done very well picking up a recent first place at the OCAD sumo robot challenge.
The kicker is to knock the blade down at the start so it fits the size rules.
The controller is two SPDT switchs and two push buttons. (labelled lift and KICKER )
