Wrong inverse kinematics formula?

Hi,

I have looked in the following document:

www.robotshop.com/content/PDF/robotshop … -guide.pdf in the section “Calculating Angles Based on x,y,z”.

I suppose that R should be sqrt(x^2+y^2) and not x^2+y^2 as mentioned in the document.
