Hi,
The wrist rotate motor is making a clicking sound when it gets to one end of it’s rotation. This just started a few days ago, but I got the motor a couple months ago. Here is a link for the youtube video where you can hear the noise.

Can you please tell me what is wrong?
Thanks very much, Abhinav Vetcha
This likely means one of two things:
- The signal you are sending to the servo is beyond what it can handle
- The servo is being physically blocked.
We see that you have something in the gripper - be sure that the gripper is not still trying to close, and having the object block it. You need to close the gripper just enough to create friction between the fingers and the object, but not so much force as to burn the servo.
Hi
As far as I know the motor is not being physically blocked, this problem just stared right now so it was not being blocked before as well. Also I am using the same program As the one they give in the assembly guide so the signals that are being sent or not wrong. How would I be able to troubleshoot the problem?
Hi,
I did all of this, and it continued to make the clicking noise when I sent the pulse of 2400, however, when I decreased it to 2300, it did not make this noise. I was experimenting with values between those two numbers, and the lower it is (closer to 2300), it made a slower clicking sound, and the higher it is (close to 2400) it made a faster clicking sound. I do not know what the problem is, do you think I should buy another motor just to be safe?
Thanks
Thanks
Which servo is it? Clicking usually means it’s reached its mechanical limit.
It is the wrist rotate servo on the AL5D arm, this clicking sound just started one week back but before that it just stopped when it reached the end of its rotation. Any help is welcome.
Thanks
