My professor and I are working on a project in the field of geology and we are looking for assistance on purchasing a stepper motor set up to add to a classroom tool. We need it to operate at as slow of a rate as possible. Essentially, programmable, precise, and very slow but also powerful revolutions. It will be attached to a geology squeeze box to automate the system and we want to simulate very low levels of consistent strain over a long period of time. Any help on what to purchase would be awesome! We need the whole set up. It has to also be powerful enough to push material from one side of the box to the other.

Hi @Corehhh and welcome to our forum!
This sounds like an interesting project
Although, it doesn’t seem to be too much complex, I think most of the job needs to be done on your side.
For example, mechanical design. Where and how this motor will be mounted?
Regarding the electrical design. Why do you want stepper motor? How do you want to control it?

Thank you.
