Were we supposed to receive two wires or four? We cut the two wires we had into four pieces, but were we supposed to cut them into eight pieces? We are confused.
Which kit did you purchase? If it’s only the basic tank version, you need to cut the one long wire into four roughly equal sections. If you purchased the Mecanum or omniwheel versions, you still need to cut the wire into four equal sections but you should have received two wire segments rather than one.
We got the V.20 Omniwheel kit, but only received two wires.
Correct - those two wires should be cut into 8 sections total (four each).
Okay–if we needed to buy replacement wires…would any 22 gage, 300V, ul 1007, awm style wire be okay? We bought replacements, but when we stripped it it has several copper threads. Is it still okay to use?
Sure. Stranded is good to connect the motor leads to the terminals.
If you want to insert wire directly, solid works best.
Almost any wire you find should work between the motors and the screw terminals (unless it’s really really thin).
Thank you so much!
