Wireless camera systems

I’m working on a tracked robot, I plan on using a 10ch tx/rx and possible an arduino mega. My goal was to have 3 or 4 cameras. 1 fixed front mounted, 2 on a PTZ mount offering day and night and one on the arm. I started looking at FPV cameras and found some boards that offer camera selection through pwm controls from the rc receiver so it makes changing views super simple. My understanding is however that FPV cameras are manual focus.

I started Wonder has anyone streamed USB webcams from a raspberry- pi? Is it complicated to setup? I know the new ones are rather powerful. Is there other better options out there outside of mounting a bunch of wifi GoPros? I

don’t have much of a budget as usual but if their is a direction I can be pointed it, I’ve seen a bunch of forms on this general topic and I apologize for another one however I didn’t see anything on multi camera transmission.

The higher the resolution the better however I feel auto focus is the most important my fov will be under 5ft at all times with drastically changing distances up to maybe 6inches I also apologize for the book just trying to give the most info for the best possible response.

Hello @Brokebeardedguy and welcome to the RobotShop community!

I don’t know much about FPV cameras so I won’t be able to help you in that regard but since you mentioned the Raspberry Pi and that you have a limited budget I thought it would be nice to suggest these solutions:

Since you mentioned that you want to switch the views (so not necessarily having them working simultaneously) a good option might be the Arducam Multi-Camera Adapter

That looks like a great option. THANK YOU. Ill have to do some research into the pi and what options I have for streaming the video wirelessly.
I have a venture 11 that I could probably receive the video on or I could grab a second pi with a small 7in screen. I’ll have to do some research in to what software and coding is required with pi.
