Wiport lexan mount?

Just wondering if Lynx still carried the Wiport mounts. I searched the site and found all the Wiport stuff taken down (understandably) but was just wondering. If not, its not a big deal, I’m positive I could make a suitable carrier myself either out of the same Lynx Lexan or something else in the machine shop. It just would be nice to save some time. Thanks in advance.

We really never had any Wiport stuff on the website except for a tutorial for the BRAT which is still there. I tried to make contact with the guy who used to make them but he never returned my email.

Oh, sorry. I thought Lynx made the black Lexan mounting board in the tutorial. It seemed to fix the SCC-32 and Bot Board mounting hole patterns and looked the same so I assumed it was a product. Also, the wiport guide while still online (I can get to it through a link in the forum) doesn’t appear to be actively linked on any of the guide pages on the main site.

Again, no big deal.

Yes, I made the little adaptor panel thing, but it was never a product. If you request it in the comments section on your next order, I would give you one for free… The tutorial is linked on the Assembly Guides page under the BRAT section.

Im just curious. What exactly happened to WIport. There was a time where I was off for a while because of the School homework rush, so I may have missed what happened… :open_mouth:

it says here why they got rid of it
wibotics.com/blog/2006/11/wiboti … losed.html
or theres the wibotics website www.wibotics.com

I just went to the Wibotics site and they are giving away everything to make the boards. This may be the answer to your query, Jim… Go get all the stuff.:smiley: It’s all available for download now.

Thanks for the extremely kind offer. Just one quick question, is the Lexan mount you made compatible with the V3? From the pictures I can’t tell
100%, but it looks doubtful. The tutorial seems to be based off another version (V2?). If you made a later mount and were talking about that, great.

Also, from the files linked on the Wibotics site, it actually looks like the V3 might have the same mounting spacers as the SCC-32. Anybody with a V3 able to comment on that?

the v3 wibotics board will fit the same carrier used by the SSC32, stack on top of the SSC32 actually.

Awesome! Thanks.

We went to the website and they don’t have the information for the carrier, which is what I wanted to make available. It’s much smaller and lighter. We sent them another email, but haven’t heard back.

Edit: I did get a reply and have the required info. I can’t say exactly when it will be, but we are working on it.

Go Jim go! Yah!
