WinGUI & Quadrino Nano

Hullo! I am enjoying very much learning about drones with my V-Tail 400 & Quadrino Nano flight controller. TY for the products!

This is my question on WinGUI & Quadrino Nano:

For **GPS Hold **& **GPS Home **flight modes:

[blockquote]

  1. On the **RC Control Settings **it is possible to select both **GPS Hold **& GPS Home to be active at the same time. As the states are mutually exclusive how does the QN handle the conflict?

  2. For either flight mode, I can apparently have them properly selected and written to the QN, but when I activate the appropriate output on my transmitter I do not see the feed back on the **Flight Deck **tab. For example, say I have GPS Hold to activate when channel **AUX 1 **goes high. I can make that selection and write it to the QN in the settings tab but when I make the channel go high on the transmitter I do not see that mode light up on the flight deck tab. Same for GPS Home.

[/blockquote]Related questions about flight modes arise when comparing flight mode descriptions from MultiWii.com with options available on the **RC Control Settings **tab. MultiWii.com describes a “Head/CareFree” mode not available on the settings tab. The settings tab has a “Land” options not described on the MultiWii page.

I know the WinGUI Manual is a work in progress but if you can help me & clarify these items now perhaps it will help others and not just myself.

TY & Kind Regards – Bob G.

Hi mudkip177,

]MultiWii will have priority on “GPS HOME” over the “GPS HOLD” in case both are selected at the same time/:m]
]The mode will be ignored if there is no GPS lock at time of arming. So you need to be Armed and have GPS lock to see them Activated./:m]
Some information about MultiWii flight modes in the manual HERE on P.14. The easiest is still to use a bluetooth device and an Android phone to monitor.

Lynxmotion Quadrino Nano - Wireless Communication

We have not experienced with the “LAND” mode but it might request the UAV to Land. In the Mission tab you can choose a “LAND” point as well.

TY very much for the prompt reply. I should have noted the QN manual already but I appreciate the refresher. Two followups plz:

  1. Any thoughts on why GPS Hold and Home do not show on the flight deck?

  2. Plz post a link so I can learn more about monitoring flight modes via bluetooth.

Warm Regards & Happy Holidays – B

Ops! Plz disregrad #2. I found the link!

You mean they are not showing at all or they are “RED” ?
As we said in our earlier reply you need to be Armed and have GPS lock to see them Activated. They will stay “RED” if you are not armed and do not have GPS lock

Thank you for reiterating the reply. I’m sure the issue is it was not armed. I’ll investigate over the holidays and give you an update. TY for the prompt reply. Have a good holiday – B

No problem, we are here to help.
Let us know how it went and have a good holiday too.

I can confirm that once the motors are armed & the GPS has a fix then both the GPS HOLD & GPS HOME indicators light appropriately on the FLIGHT DECK tab. TY again for the prompt and rapid responses! Warm Regards – Bob G.

Good, that reflect the tests we did here prior to answer (to confirm).
Let us know if you need more help.
