As the topic says really.
I’m looking at replacing my temperamental 6year old desktop pc for a much much faster laptop.
I originally chose a desktop due to being able to swap in and out components easier but I need more. Lol
I’ve been looking at many machines and a lot of them are supplied with the new windows 8…
So I’m just wondering if anyone has any first hand experience with this OS?
The New desktop interface will take a bit getting used to. Other than that its been very stable. I still perfer Windows 7.
Same here. Firstly i also prefer windows 7.
Do you still have a choice when buying a new PC? It seems as though most companies just give you the latest OS.

Does not relly matter about the os what matter is that you have a proper serial to usb converter for your new computer only buy one with a “ftdl” chip nothing else , i use both 7 and 8 they are both good
I’v never used Win8.But I think Win8 is better than Win7.Because I believe this is the rule of evolution of things.
