Will it do the job?

I am looking at using a 6 dimension robot manipulator model RB com-11, or alternative).

The application is to put it into the laser machine and pick up a drawn part (parts are small say 20mm x 30mm and very light a few grams only) from a matrixed tray and put it into a jig so the laser can cut a contour and then take it out and put it into another matrixed tray.
Might get away with just putting it into a pile on the floor of the machine.

There is space inside the machine to accommodate this manipulator doing the placing inside the machine.
I would be looking at placing about 50 parts on a tray.
It takes about 13 seconds to cut the part by laser so I would want to know how fast these manipulators can work.
Also I am not even sure the software can handle the manipulation of picking up sequentially from an x y tray? Maybe the software of these manipulators can only handle simple pick and place.

So can it be programmed to go sequentially to different position to pick.
What would be the time to say pick up an item move the the drop down position, drop part, return to pick up position.

Your comments would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Ray, are you still working on the project?

Yes still looking at it, will buy some bits shortly and do trials.
