Will I absolutely need a voltage clamp resistor to have motor running in slow/HIGH SPEED -I want to use a 160W 13A DC motor to move my Motion Sim Rig left to right (3rd dof)

Hi erveryone, I am new to the forum & I am glad that I may ask a question.
Thank you girls and guys!

Well, I do not exactly build robots.

I build a motion simulation rig and now I want to add my 3rd dof.
There will be a 24V 160W 13A DC motor shifting my Rig from left to right. (Traction Loss Simulation.)
I bought my second sabertooth 2x32A for that.
Now - as the motor will also decrease in speed - will I be able to use the Sabertooth without a voltage clamp resistor so it will not blow the sabertooth nor the powersupply (2x 12V up to 32A).

As I could not find an answer for that question and I am pretty green concerning electronics I would appreciate your consult

Thanx in advance for the time you gift me for your answer,
stay safe & stay happy,
cheers from BAVARiA,

adon to my question:

… and if / how should I mount which kind of battery.
I would prefer to run the motor by power supply without resistor or battery.
