Why do scripts on RobotShop.com pages use so much CPU?

I am finding that product category pages will max out one of my CPU cores, using more than 100% CPU, while individual product pages use more than 70% CPU. This occurs even when I am completely idle on these pages. What is going on here? Can anyone tell if this is legitimate but poorly written first-party Javascript that hogs the CPU, or if there is something else going on here (mining for Bitcoin, third-party data collection, and so on). Thought I would ask before trying to dive into the issue myself. Thanks!

Hi @abaron
[sarcasm ON]
What do you expect, it’s an US-American site ? :wink:
And the topic ‘robotics’ is to hot to be ignored by foreign ‘services’
[sarcasm OFF]

What browser do you use? Edge or Chrome? LOL

Welcome to the RobotShop Community.

We can investigate further, however, we will require more information for RobotShop’s team.
Can you provide the URLd link of the paged you were browsing (which category, which product)?
What OS are you using?
Which browser and version?

Looking forward to your reply.

@o_lampe :stuck_out_tongue: Haha Nice touch!
