I know I should be doing other things, but I saw this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4_4POEtLd_4
.. I made one (sorry, no video) and it was just as easy and fun as on the video :)
So I wondered.. how would it be like if the angle of the bristles could be altered, then you could steer!
So I made some tests yesterday, and this turns out to be quite fun.
I do not know if I will get this any farther, but I got inspired, and so perhaps you will be :) I have no real video, but now and then I took some snaps with my cel phone. I just threw them into the video editing, and here you go.
The idea is that there are 2 frames; One with the bristles hanging loose, and one beneath that can be twisted and turned and pulled forward / backwards, all to steer the angles and directions of the bristles.
I have learned that the direction and placement of the motor also means a lot to which direction it is going. And some other stuff :)
I am considering to make each "bristle-pin/hair" have little down-back-up-forward-down-back..-motions by turning the pin they are hanging on - as opposed to just shaking the whole bot.
