Which robot chassis choose to work with continuous servo

Hello,

I have tried to build an avoidance obstacle robot with a Tamiya kit, but I found that too difficult to make this robot in straight line (with encoder and PID, it’s very hard).

So I would like to build a robot with continuous servomotors or stepper motors. I was told that it is much easier.

But I don’t know which robot chassis could I buy to be compatible with continuous servomotors or stepper motors for wheel drive.

Could you help me to choose one? If possible a cheap one.

Thx,

Eric

Stepper motors would actually be quite harder - servos are the way to go, but are limited to smaller sized robots.
Some inexpensive, smaller platforms which use continuous rotation servo motors:

It’s not really hard to create your own using two continuous rotation Hitec servos, some compatible wheels and a caster.
