Which optical encoder can I use with AX1500 DC motor controler?

Hello,

I want to control in speed a DC brush motor. I want to use the AX 1500 controler. Which optical encodeur can I use to work with the AX 1500? Where to by it on the RobotShop?

You will require the Addon, available at RobotShop:

RoboteQ Encoder Module for AX1500 and AX2550
Product code : RB-Rob-06

Then you can add one or two optical encoders, we suggest quadrature encoders such as this one:

Solarbotics Wheel Watcher Rotation Encoder
Product code : RB-Sbo-33

It will theoretically support any quadrature encoder with a 250kHz maximum frequency.
