Which linux distro for a ETX motherboard

Hey guys, I am working on a PC robot project https://www.robotshop.com/letsmakerobots/node/34827

anyway, I tried to install Puppy linux on a VIA nehemiah ETX board and got this error message:

This kernel requires the following features not present on the CPU:
pae cx8
Unable to boot - please use a kernel appropriate for your CPU>.

then I removed the VIA board and put a pentium board in it's place, the only thing that changed about the error message was it did not have the cx8 part.

the boards I am using are:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VIA_C3 Nehemiah and http://www.dpie.com/etx/etxpm.html with a 1.8 ghz pentium, I was wondering if any of you linux nerds had any idea of which distro would work on either of those boards. Any help would be appreciated :)

Have you tried

Have you tried to install the “highmem” version?

If so, try this one instead:  http://distro.ibiblio.org/puppylinux/puppy-5.3.3/slacko-5.3.3-4g-SCSI.iso

Thanks for the link, I will
