Hi @ps1984 and welcome to our forum!

There are several options you could consider for a smaller and lighter 12V battery for your robot:

  1. Lithium Polymer (LiPo) Batteries: These are much lighter and more compact than standard lithium batteries, but they require careful handling and a suitable charger.

  2. Nickel-Metal Hydride (NiMH) Batteries: These can be lighter than lithium batteries and can be a good compromise between weight and capacity.

  3. Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) Batteries: These are slightly heavier than LiPo batteries but offer better safety and a longer cycle life.

Would any of these options work for your project? Or do you have specific size and weight constraints that you should consider?

Hi,

thank you for your help.
i will give a try with option#2
The sixe of the robot is : 37cm X 22cm
weight: 2.2Kg

Also which motor can i use for wheels.
right now i have a motor like this one: DC12V/24V 35W Micro Metal Gear Motor Speed Adjustable Large Motor CW/CCW(24V 30prm) :

Hi @ps1984 ,

Choice of the motors depends on many things like weight of the complete assembly, speed you want to achieve, which wheels you would use etc.

But these tutorials can help you calculate what you need:
