Where to find driver for USB BLE-Link module (RB-Dfr-610)?

Which driver should I use with your bluetooth dongle # RB-Dfr-610 ?

The driver used is the same as the Uno, which can be found here: arduino.cc/en/Guide/Windows#toc4
It needs to be installed manually on a Windows PC, otherwise it may either not be detected, or install the wrong one.

My understanding is that this USB dongle is a “universal” BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) Link module, and I plan to use it separate from and without Arduino. All I need is the correct driver to be recognized by Windows.

I’m sure that the driver for this gadget exists somewhere outside of “Arduino” world. What is the name of the driver ?
Is there another place to obtain just the driver without installing the whole Arduino IDE ?

Correct - the Windows driver is the one used for the Arduino Uno. You don’t need an Arduino Uno though - it’s just the same driver so Windows recognizes the chip inside.
You should not need to install the Arduino IDE.

I tried it already but my Win 7 pc keeps asking for the driver… and I still need to find out the one that matches it.

To confirm - according to the manufacturer, you need to manually install the Arduino Uno driver; don’t let your operating system automatically find it or attempt to install it, nor should you browse for it when prompted. Keep us posted.

So this usb ble dongle IS a part of Arduino line of products?

No - the chip used inside the BLE to do the USB to serial communication is an ATMega chip which is running specific code. The Arduino Uno uses this same chip for its serial to USB communication and therefore the drive used for both products is the same.

Now I’m still without the driver and very confused - can you tell me who is the manufacturer of RB-Dfr-610 ?

The manufacturer can be contacted at [email protected]
