I am looking for a free utility to convert my cell phone videos to a windows compatible format so that I can use windows movie maker.
I have found some free utility programs that will do this, but they want to install software that monitors your browsing. I just want a single function utility that will convert my cell videos to WMV. Right now I can publish my videos to Facebook, but I want to be able to add titles and background music in movie maker and then publish it to Facebook. I don’t need anything fancy and I don’t want spyware as part of the agreement.
Does your cell phone support an app like YouTube mobile? I haven’t heard of 3GPP2 format. Previous cell phones used .avi and my iPhone uses .mov formats. I was able to upload to YouTube, download an MP4 file and then use “Any Video Converter” to convert it to a .wmv file, but with some difficulty.
I have the Sprint Lotus cell phone and it’s the best phone I ever owned to date. The quality of the sound is like a LAN line, and my favorite part is that it’s a clam shell QWERTY phone. When its opened, its the same as a blackjack. I love being able to answer calls by flipping it open and hanging up by flipping it closed and it fits in my pocket and you can’t feel that it’s there. The format for the video is 3GPP2 (3rd Generation Partnership Project 2) I guess it’s used by CDMA type phones.
Anyway, thanks for that link. Ill have to check that out when I get home from work today.
